Some times they are shown to be girly and not manly, They hate the site of bugs or afraid of a mouse, and they love to shop and every one wants a gay bff cuz it is the in thing, they are very good at fashion and designing, or they are allways the hair dressers with a girly voice and they are week, they are made to be the comic relief. But it seems to day that the media some what has opened their arms and doors for gay,Bi, Lesbian, but it seems that transgenders are still looked at as freaks, it will be a long time before America out side the rain bow will fully except Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Transgenders lets hope it wont take that long before we can become a positive in the media and not some ones side kick who all ways gets beat up, or laughed at..... We deserve to get the guy for once lol

`The world doesn't like what they don't understand. I see myself as myself, not gay. I have a attraction to guys but it doesn't set who I am. The media can change gays. Most gays where I live think they have to act girly. I don't like it.

`I've notices gays in media are still portrayed as stereotypes set by homophobic straight people. Jerry Springer which is a trash show is just one example I'll use. The audience is filled (mostly) with college males and females, a lesbian comes out and kisses another girl, the crowd goes wild shouting "We love lesbians!" A gay male comes out and kisses another man, the crowd shouts "EWWW!" followed by laughing and slurs. Not that the Jerry Springer show sets the standard, but I also witnessed the same thing on the Tyra Banks show when she was asking Sabato jr how he could kiss men when playing gay characters. Until gay men and women can be in the media without slurs being said under-breath, or can do as "straight" people do and have no comedic, or disgusted reaction from the public...there's still a very long way to go. (My Opinion.)

Wow, where do you live? All I ever see is "no femme guys," meaning that in order to be considered desirable, you are supposed to be straight-acting. It's a sad day when the gay community itself is as hateful toward nelly guys as the mainstream is!
